Performance of safety valve rupture disc
(1) advantages: the sealing performance is good, and it will not leak when the container is working normally; the rupture speed of the rupture disc is high, so the pressure relief response is fast; if the medium contains oil and other sundries, it will not affect the action pressure of the device components.
(2) disadvantages: after the completion of the pressure relief operation, the blasting element can not continue to be used, and the container will be forced to stop operation once the container is overpressured; the blasting element is in a state of high stress for a long time, so it is easy to fail prematurely due to fatigue, so the life of the component is short and needs to be replaced regularly.
In addition, the action pressure of blasting elements is not easy to be accurately predicted and strictly controlled.
(3) scope of application: it is suitable for chemical reactions in which the pressure may increase sharply, or the medium is highly toxic, and it is not easy to be used in liquefied gas storage tanks.
It is not easy to use containers with large pressure fluctuations, that is, containers with more opportunities for overpressure.
Correctly select the installation location of the safety valve
The selection of installation location is an important part of safety valve installation, which is largely related to whether the safety valve can work properly or not.
In general, the following requirements should be met when choosing the installation location of the safety valve:
First, the safety valve on the equipment or pipe should be installed vertically and perpendicular to the ground to ensure that the disc can be opened and closed smoothly.
Second, install the safety valve close to the protected equipment in order to reduce the resistance of the inlet section of the safety valve.
At the same time, in order to facilitate inspection and maintenance, the installation position of the safety valve is not easy and too complicated.
Third, take the high position of the drum and header as the installation position of the safety valve.
Fourth, the liquid safety valve should be installed below the liquid level.
